We are located in Skeabost Bridge at the foot of Glen Bernisdale, just 6 miles North-West of Portree. The local townships themselves are fairly scattered and are largely made up of crofts for farming so the area is very unspoilt. We overlook Loch Snizort and the little township of Tote is opposite. The Snizort and Skeabost Rivers are within walking distance of the cottage.
The location is ideal for touring the island. By car we are only 10mins drive from Portree, Dunvegan Castle & gardens is just a 20 minute drive and Glen Sligachan for walks in the Cuillin only 15 minutes. It will take 15 minutes to reach Uig for a ferry crossing to the Western Isles.
In the local area itself, there are some decent walks, nine hole golf and fishing (permits only) at the very nearby Skeabost Hotel which also has a restaurant and bar. Pony trekking is available at either Woodend or Clachamish trekking centres.
We are very easy to locate and will provide comprehensive directions before you set off on your journey to Skye.
